Private Schools Troubling YS Jagan on Amma Vodi

YS Jagan's Confusion on Amma Vodi again

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's prestigious Amma Vodi scheme embroiled an intense controversy at the moment. Initially, YS Jagan intended to sanction Rs.15000 to every mother who sends her child to either a private or a government school.

Obviously, parents prefer their children to join pirvate convents rather government schools and which would surely lead to the shut down of many government schools.

Sensing the threat to government schools, the government school staff triggered an agitation demanding to implement the scheme only for government schools. As a result, the financial minister Buggana Rajendranadh Reddy made it clear that the scheme would be confined to only government schools.

However, here comes a twist. The managements of private schools have started expressing their concern over the government's decision. They are giving aggressive statements and let them published in newspapers. Besides, they are releasing abusive videos on government teachers and schools. Further, they are forcing the government, to get Amma Vodi scheme expanded to private schools as well.

Perplexed by private school managements' agitation, the government appeared to have stepped back to implement the scheme for only government schools. A solid decision from the government is awaited on Amma Vodi.
