Hyderabad is known for Charminar, the authentic biryani, and a unique Telugu-Hindi mixed dialect. There weren’t a lot of movies that did justice to the city of Nizams, before the formation of separate Telangana state.
However, of late, few directors did a decent to good job in capturing the essence of the city. Despite not performing very well at the box-office, recent release Falaknuma Das starring Vishwak Sen transports you to this cultural city showing you a glimpse of how the city of Nizams is just so much more than Biryani.
Dashing director Puri Jagannath is coming up with a film iSmart Shankar which is based in Hyderabad. The film’s protagonist Ram is playing Hyderabad Gully Poradu who will be seen uttering dialogues in typical Old City dialect. He indeed impressed with his dialogue delivery in teaser.
Now, many are wondering how different iSmart Shankar is from Falaknuma Das which both set in the old city of Hyderabad. More importantly, characterization of protagonists in both the films looked analogous.
Nabha Natesh and Nidhi Agerwal played female leads in iSmart Shankar slated for release on July 12th.
