Vijayendra Prasad penned stories for many blockbuster films but he attained international recognition for his stories for films like Baahubali, Manikarnika, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Magadheera etc. Vijayendra Prasad is also popular in the film circles as the dad of star director Rajamouli.
Vijayendra Prasad of late has been showering praises on Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut, ever since he worked with her for Manikarnika. Even during the controversy involving Krish, Vijayendra Prasad supported Kangana. He is now penning scripts and screenplay for Kangana's upcoming biopic on Jayalalithaa titled Thalaivi and also for her next, a biopic on herself.
Meanwhile, Vijayendra Prasad showered praises on Kangana. He said, “It’s sweet of Kangana to say nice things about me. In an age where earning the position of a leading lady in Bollywood is so challenging, she went on to shoulder a film without anyone’s support. She is indeed a self-made actress.”
About his son Rajamouli, he says, “Rajamouli is extremely dedicated and motivated, and his energy rubs off on the rest of his team. He’s not afraid of responsibilities and helps ease the weight off my shoulders.”
Vijayendra Prasad said he never expected Rajamouli to become a top director. He added, “However, I’ve always known that he has in it him, the X-factor. It was his choice to get into films, and he started with assisting me.”
