Actress Kangana Ranaut besides doing the lead role has changed script and reshot many sequences, after director Krish walked out of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, owing to creative differences with the actress and also to direct Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious project NTR Biopic.
Many waited eagerly to see which among NTR’s biopic first part Kathanayakudu and Manikarnika will perform better at box office. As is known, NTR Kathanayakudu business has been closed in many areas and it collected less than 40 Cr Nett worldwide.
Manikarnika has crossed the 40 Cr figure in just three days in domestic market itself. Although the film received mixed response from critics, it is doing sold business at box office. After a decent start with Rs 8.75 cr Nett on day one, the film had huge growth on day two (Rs 18.10) and day three (15.70) as well. The grand total for three days is Rs 42.55 Cr.
Manikarnika is the biggest opener for Kangana who has few 100 Cr grossing films to her credit. On the other hand, Krish is not stopping his blames on Kangana and he says it would have been a far better movie if script wasn’t changed and his version was locked for theatrical screening.
