Akkineni Akhil was given much hype for his first two films Akhil and Hello, after he awed with a cameo in Manam. But, result of both the films disappointed the young hero. Akhil is now coming up with his third film Mr Majnu, a romantic entertainer directed by Venky Atluri who delivered a super hit with his maiden directorial Tholi Prema.
Until yesterday till release of theatrical trailer, prospects were not so encouraging on Mr Majnu. Many expected the film will be in the lines of Venkatesh’s flop movie Prematho Raa as Akhil was seen as a playboy flirting with girls in the teaser.
However, Venky Atluri cleared all the doubts with the trailer released yesterday during pre release event in presence of young tiger NTR who called Akhil as his young brother. Mr Majnu trailer looked breezy and entertaining with right blend of romance and emotions. Akhil’s stand of he could love a girl utmost for a month is charming youngsters.
S Thaman’s music and George C Williams’s cinematography adds to positives. Production values of looked top notch. Nidhi Agerwal too charmed in the role of an innocent girl who adores Akhil to the core.
Prospects on Mr Majnu have been changed after the release of its trailer. In addition, songs have become chartbusters. The film is now carrying super buzz in film and business circles.
Mr Majnu is due for release on January 25th as Republic Day special.
