Generally for any film industry, Friday releases are the most preferred and popular among the celebrities. However due to tremendous competition, filmmakers are forced to release their films on other days. During festival season, filmmakers are setting aside their sentiments and are releasing their films on any day targeting openings.
Releasing films on Wednesday is fast catching up. Last year's blockbusters Geetha Govindam and Mahanati hit the screens on Wednesday, whereas RX 100 hit the screens on Thursday.
Now many are of the opinion that Mega Prince Varun Tej is enjoying reverse sentiment. Generally filmmakers do not like to release the films on Saturday as people get only two days in the weekend. Many view Saturday as a negative sentiment. However Varun Tej is reaping rich dividends when his films release on Saturday.
When Sai Dharam Tej's Intelligent hit the screens last year, Varun Tej's Tholi Prema released on Feb 10, Saturday. While Intelligent turned out to be a disaster, Tholi Prema ended as super hit.
Now his multi starrer F2 with Venkatesh released on Jan 12, on Saturday is powering its way to another super hit.
