Rangasthalam Success, A Surprise For Chiru

Megastar Chiranjeevi ruled industry as an undisputed king in his heydays is an inspiration for many young heroes in Tollywood. He still is the best when it comes to picking winning subjects. That doesn’t mean that, Chiranjeevi didn’t have failures in his long career. He too faced disasters sometimes when he experimented with unique subjects.

While films like Swayamkrushi, Vijetha won critical accolades besides becoming commercial hits, Rudraveena, Aradhana, Apadhbandhavudu etc. botched to mint money at ticket window. Nonetheless, flops didn’t stop Chiru to choose innovative concepts.

Chiranjeevi is now taking same care for his son Ram Charan who was in a continuous flop streak after Magadheera, though his last outing Dhruva ended as a moderate grosser.

Although both Chiru and Charan were thrilled when they were first given Rangasthalam narration, they doubted its commercial viabilities.

As a matter of fact, Chiranjeevi had stated that Rangasthalam would win awards at the film’s pre-release event. This led to speculations that Chiranjeevi was not sure about the film clicking at BO.

Much surprise to Chiru, Rangasthalam is turning out to be biggest hit in Charan’s career. What’s more, it has smashed non-Baahubali records.

Apparently, Chiru who expected Rangasthalam to showcase his son Charan’s acting abilities is delighted with the box office sensation.
