Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam got another feather in its cap. The film crossed the landmark of Rs.175 crores gross and stood as the biggest hit of Tollywood. The full page ads of above wall poster is seen in newspapers today.
Although Rajamouli's Baahubali series films scored bigger collections, the movies are considered to be multi-lingual pan-Indian films. However, Rangasthalam is the only single language Telugu film that has crossed the aforesaid milestone.
While achieving the historical landmark, Rangasthalam broke all the previous industry hits including Megastar Chiranjeevi's industry hit Khaidi Number 150's Rs.164 crores gross collections.
Since the makers are unstoppable with their aggressive promotions, the movie will head for long run and may aim at Rs.200 crores gross collections. Also, trade analysts are predicting that Rangasthalam will get its dream run continued irrespective of Prince Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu's release next week.
In the meanwhile, critics are expecting that the film has a potentiality to bag national awards in a couple of departments including best actor award for Ram Charan. It is a known news that Power Star Pawan Kalyan appealed South and North industries to form a lobby and should send the film to Oscars.
