Manamantha is a good film with feel good emotions throughout. Mohanlal, Gautami and other artists excelled with their performance in the film directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti. However, biggest drawback of the movie was Mohanlal’s dubbing. The actor dubbed on own for his character in the film. His voice was unclear and Telugu audience felt it as a dubbed movie.
Later, makers of Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa signed Mohanlal for their film. Nevertheless, Mohanlal insisted to lend voice for his role, director Koratala Siva negated the proposal. Thankfully, Mohanlal character was elevated because of voice was lent by other artist.
Coming to the actual point, another Malayalam senior actor Mammootty who will be making his comeback to Telugu cinema after ages with Yatra, a biopic on YS Rajadsekhar Reddy, will dub in Telugu for the role. Thus, if this experiment misfires, makers of Yatra will face similar problem like Manamantha.
