Is It Worst Ever Sankranthi in Tollywood's History?

Is 'Sankranthi - 2018' going to enter Tollywood's record books for all wrong reasons? According to the cine trade analysts the answer is 'yes'. As a matter of fact, Sankranthi, the festival of farmers, is also termed as the festival of films. 

Every hero and technician dream of their film releasing for this crazy season seeking extraordinary mileage to their films. Truly, there have been such instances at least one to even three or four films registered successes until last year's Sankranthi. 

Having aspired for humongous successes, four filmmakers tried their luck ensuring their films released in this year's Sankranthi. With their dismay, none of the films scored hits. Moreover, all the films are likely to occupy flop to disaster status.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan Agnyathavasi opened with negative reports on day one. The film has recorded a colossal flop and it may incur 40% to 50% losses in full run. 

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's Jai Simha received mixed reports. The movie couldn't cross the opening records of Balayya's previous offing Paisa Vasool and other blockbusters of Balayya. The movie is expected to collect around Rs.20 crores share and may fall short of Rs.7 or 8 crores to reach break even.

Tamil star hero Suriya's Gang carried decent mouth talk reports on day one itself. But given the dubbing nature and limited screen count, team Gang should strenuously promote the film to cash on situation. Reports say, Gang revenues are upswing.

King Nagarjuna bankrolled Rangula Ratnam and gave it for free of cost to those buyers who suffered losses for Hello. This movie too couldn't win the hearts of movie lovers. Having considered the statuses of these films at the box office, movie analysts have confirmed it as the worst ever Sankranthi in Tollywood's history.
