Superstar Rajinikanth and sensational director Shankar's upcoming sci-fi thriller 2.0 is expected to surpass the box office collections of Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Combination of Rajinikanth and Shankar earlier delivered a huge blockbuster like Robo (Endhiran in Tamil). The Rajinikanth-starrer was a phenomenal hit across South India and the stakes are running high on the second installment of this Shankar-directorial.
2.0 boasts big names including Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as the baddie. If Shankar and Rajinikanth gets it right, the movie is likely to become the all time blockbuster of South India. Then makers are planning to release the glimpse of 2.0 on Friday on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi at 6 PM.
2.0 is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam on Republic Day's eve. Mounted on a lavish scale at a budget of Rs 400 Crore, the film is hailed as the expensive film ever in the Indian cinema.
