Classic filmmaker Sekhar Kammula hit a goldmine with double blockbuster Fidaa. With the stupendous success of the film, once again, he emerged as the most sought after director of Tollywood at the moment.
Sekhar Kammula had some interesting revelations about the story of Fidaa. He admitted that the script was prepared keeping Power Star Pawan Kalyan in mind. However, the director further admitted that he hadn't approached Power Star for this movie as the story doesn't suit to the stature of the Power Star. "Especially, second half of Fidaa has the shades of Khushi. Pawan Kalyan stood like a shadow in penning the script," says Kammula.
Sekhar Kammula said the story was narrated to Prince Mahesh but the Prince has turned down the offer. Afterwards, Sekhar Kammula narrated Fidaa script to Mega Power Star Ram Charan. But then, the Mega Power star, himself, suggested the name of Mega Prince Varun Tej. As a result, Fidaa got materialized and stood as the biggest hit.
