Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao’s son Ganta Raviteja is debuting into films with Jayadev releasing in theaters this week. Unlike many debutant heroes who opt for a safe romantic script or a light weight entertainer, Raviteja picked heavy duty police character on his very first assignment.
Burdening himself for a middle aged, married and father like statured sincere police character lifted directly from Tamil hit flick Sethupathi, many in industry circles are shocked to hear that Raviteja is just 27 years old and best suits for boy-next-door and romantically feel good roles.
Sethupathi is a police action thriller wherein Vijay Sethupathi shined as protagonist. After consulting many of his near and dear ones in Telugu industry, Raviteja accepted the challenge of remaking it in Telugu under experienced director Jayant C Paranji.
True that there’s no buzz around Jayadev though the film is all set to hit screens on coming Friday. With a proven script on hand and talented Jayant helmed the remake, Raviteja is confident on securing a commercial breakthrough with Jayadev.
