King Nagarjuna was unanimously declared the Sankranthi winner with the blockbuster result of 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' during the Sankranthi season last year. The film collected close to Rs.50 crores then.
Having been made with a shoestring budget, Sharwanand's 'Express Raja' stood as the 2nd biggest hit of Sankranthi last year given the profits acquired by the film at the ticket windows. Young Tiger NTR's 'Naannaku Prematho' became an above average grosser with around Rs.50 crores closing business.
Interestingly, Sharwanand once again is in the race of Sankranthi. His upcoming romantic-family entertainer 'Shatamanam Bhavati' appears to be a promising film. If at all the target sections embrace the film, no wonder Sharwa recreates the magic of 2016's Sankranthi, occupying second biggest hit status for this Sankranthi. Anupama Parameswaran has romanced the handsome young hero in this pleasant entertainer.
