Balakrishna's Raithu Shelved?

Balakrishna and Krishna Vamsi's Raithu Shelved?

Apart from his 100th film 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni' Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's 101st movie 'Raithu' has also made a huge splash in tinsel town. 'Raithu' was supposed to be a message oriented entertainer with a village backdrop. Creative director Krishna Vamsi was heard to be directing the film.

Krishna Vamsi and Balakrishna met Big B Amitabh Bachchan a couple of days ago in Mumbai and requested him to play a crucial cameo role in the movie. Amitabh Bachchan, however, turned down the offer recently.

It is now being heard that the project has been shelved due to unknown reasons. We need to wait for more days to get the clarity on this news. Meanwhile, Balakrishna's 'GPS' is being filmed in a brisk pace. Touted to be a historical entertainer, the movie's release date has been locked to January 11, 2017. Shriya Sharan will be seen as a princess in the movie. Krish is directing the movie on First Frame Entertainment.
