Kabali: Biggest Mistake in Telugu!

Kabali's Telugu Title Has No Meaning?

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' title conveys a sacred meaning and it has a greater significance given Rajini's devotion on the almighty. On the contrary, 'Kabali's Telugu title 'Kabali' is meaningless and we need just to understand it as Rajini's name in the movie.

Rajinikanth is a staunch devotee of lord Shiva. Earlier, many references on his movie titles were noticed such as 'Netrikkann', 'Siva', 'Annamalai', 'Arunachalam', 'Sivaji', 'Kochadaiiyaan' and 'Linga'. And 'Kabali' means lord Shiva or 'An Epi of Lord Shiva'.

Exact meaning of 'Kabali in Telugu should be 'Kapaali'. But the Telugu producers preferred Tamil title for the movie. As such, 'Kabali' has conveyed no meaning and it should be understood as hero's name in the film. As we know, the makers of 'Premam' also confirmed the Malayalam version's title 'Premam' which has no meaning in Telugu. Let's hope filmmakers should pay more attention in choosing meaningful titles to their films.
