Mohan Babu's 'Pedarayudu' was released in 1995 and recorded industry hit status breaking all the previous records. The key factor for the gigantic success of the movie was Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's cameo appearance as 'Paparayudu'. Rajini's mannerisms and his style enraptured the audiences then.
Post 'Pedarayudu's release Rajinikanth was seen neither as a hero nor in a cameo role in straight Telugu films. However, after a huge gap of 20 years, Rajini has given his nod to work for yet another straight Telugu film and it will be made as a Telugu- Tamil bilingual.
According to the reports from Chennai Rajinikanth will be working with young director Ranjith who recently shot to fame with the movies like ' Attakathi', 'Madras' etc. Kalaipuli Thanu will produce this movie.
Rajanikanth's 'Vikramasimha' and 'Linga' have been bombed at the box office miserably. His fans wish him to bounce back with his upcoming movie. Will he repeat the magic of 'Pedarayudu' making this straight Telugu film a blockbuster? We need to wait for the release of this movie to get the answer.
