Much awaited 'Movie Artistes Association's( MAA) elections are happening today. This is not an exaggeration to say that the elections appear to be on par with the status of general elections. There have been conspiracies, abuses, counters and court cases involved in these polls.
Rajendra Prasad, who is contesting as the president of MAA, is being supported by Mega brother Nagababu while Jayasudhra, who stands opposite to him, has been supported by MAA's existing president Murali Mohan. Rajendra Prasad's team alleged that Murali Mohan has done nothing for poor artists for the past six years in his tenure. Rajendra prasad has also come up with some interesting promises like, pensions to all the eligible artists, mediclaim and a beatiful building to MAA. He also assured he would put a corpus fund of Rs.5 crores for artists welfare.
On the other hand, Jayasudha requests the artists to support woman candidature for the president post. It remains to be seen who will get the victory in this interesting battle.
