It was 1985. The release day of Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Adavidonga'. Everybody was trying to get 'Andhrajyothy' newspaper. They knew that the newspaper would be coming up with some exclusive pages promoting 'Adavidonga's release. And yes, their wait was over and there was no disappointment for them. They received the newspaper consisting more than 50 colourful pages with full page colourful stills of the movie. Chiranjeevi's muscular body, Radha's superb glamorous stills, stills of wild animals etc. mesmerized the readers and they rushed to to watch the movie immediately. Do you know the price of the newspaper? Just below Re.1. Not only 'Adavidonga', but also  the movies of all other star heroes' were given top priority by the newspapers then. Since there was no emergence of electronic and web media, the producers used to spend  big bucks to promote their movies through newspapers then. 

When it comes to late 80s, the trend of publicizing the movies through full page ads, had ended. Since all the producers realized they were spending more than enough for newspaper ads, they decided to publicize their movies with either a half page or one fourth of a page.
