Christopher Nolan, Hoyte van Hoytema to review Ramayana final cut. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari is the cynosure of all eyes. The film is slated for release during Diwali 2026 and the second part in Diwali 2027.
In the meantime, exciting reports are coming that Hollywood renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan and cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema willbe reviewing the final cut of Ramayana.
A source shared ", Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan has been approached to supervise the final cut. Namit Malhotra got Christopher Nolan on board for a post-production role." The source also added "Nolan, along with his frequent collaborator cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, might work on the project for 72 days, starting in August 2026"
Plans are on to release the trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con. The source shared “Comic-Con gives it a global platform. The idea is to present the mythological drama not just as an Indian epic, but as a cinematic spectacle to the world. The feedback at the screening has strengthened the team’s belief that the film can travel across cultures."
Ranbir will be seen playing the role of Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi essays Sita. Yash will be seen as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Laxman. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
