Dulquer Salmaan is coming to entertain movie lovers with his film Kaantha. The film is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and the makers earlier planned to release the film on 12 Sep 2025.
However, the makers now decided to postpone the film. The makers revealing the reason behing the postponement with the message.

With the resounding success of Lokah, we want Chandra’s rampage in the box office to keep soaring. We are putting together something equally special to take you on another incredible cinematic journey."
The statement further read, “Hence, we’ve pushed the release date of Kaantha and will be announcing the new release date soon. Until then, thank you once again for standing by us. We can’t wait to see you at the cinemas soon." “A little delay for a bigger experience,"
It is known that Lokah-Chapter 1-Chandra starring Kalyani Priyadarshan turned out to be the blockbuster and it is bankrolled by Dulqer Salmaan. Kaantha is a biopic based on the life of M.K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, known as the first superstar of Tamil cinema. The film will follow his rise to fame and personal struggles in the 1950s, set against the backdrop of post-independence Madras.
Bhagyashri Borse is the female lead in the film which stars Samuthirakhani in key role. Rana also is bankrolling the project.
