Adding to the complexities, a group of Tamil Members of Parliament from Sri Lanka has penned a letter to Vijay, beseeching him to reconsider the film's release date. They have planned a protest on October 20, and they fear that the release of the film on October 19 may undermine their efforts to champion the rights of Tamil people in their country.
