Gandra Venkateswar Rao, the Telugu Desam Party candidate for the Vemulawada seat exuded confidence of winning in the bypolls.
Visiting the Vemulawada constituency for the first time after being allotted the TDP ticket, the TDP leader offered prayers at the Raja Rajeswari temple here on Thursday.
In the ensuing by-polls, it is going to be a triangular contest with Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samiti being the other two parties in fray.
Gandra expressed the hope that TDP will retain the seat as TDP has won the seat on the last three occasions.
