CBI court seeks fresh report on Ramalinga Raju's health by July 1

The special Central Bureau of Investigation court, Nampalli, hearing the Satyam case on Tuesday directed the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) to file a fresh report on Ramalinga Raju's medical condition.

Admitting a petition filed by CBI seeking a second medical opinion to find out whether he was really so sick and that he could not appear before the court, the special court directed the NIMS to file a fresh report on Raju’s health condition by July 1.

After his arrest in January last year, the former Satyam chairman spent eight months inside Chanchalguda jail and close to nine months at NIMS, as he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C.
