TV artist Dimple was attacked by some unknown miscreants when she was on her way to shoot a serial.
Dimple was travelling by a car to Manikonda, a woman blocked the road by lying across the road. Whe the car stopped, the woman attacked Dimple by throwing chilly powder and then attacking her with an iron rod
In the attack Dimple along with her assistant Mani were injured. The inured TV artist was shifted to Appolllo Hospital in Hyderabad. Doctors attending Dimple said that injuries sustained by Dimple are not so serious and she will recover soon.
The mishap occurred when she was about to take part in the `Toorpu- Padamara’ TV serial which was scheduled to take place in Manikonda on Wednesday.
Police suspect that yesterday’s acid attack on TV artist Sridahr Varma and today’s attack on Dimple have some connection. However, they are yet to establish the facts.
Film producer Tammareddy Bhardwaja demanded the that the accused be arrested.
