The Legislative Council on Thursday witnessed heated exchange of words between the ruling and Opposition members.
When the Council met for discussion on the prevailing drought in the state, the remarks made by TDP member Rajendra Prasad on Sonia Gandhi angered the ruling Party members.
Infuriated by the statement of Rajendra Prasad that Congress president Sonia Gandhi doesn’t know anything about the prevailing drought in the state as she is from Italy, the Congress members rose to their feet and demanded the chair to withdraw the statement made by the TDP member against the AICC president. With the Rajendra Prasad not obliging to withdraw his statement the Congress MLCs staged dharna in the House.
