City Police Commissioner AK Khan met Chief Minister K Rosaiah to review the security measures taken by the cops in view of the terrorist threat perception to the city.
Khan briefed the CM about the increased patrolling in sensitive areas and frisking up of suspected persons as a precautionary measure, and alerting the police to be vigilant round the clock against an eventuality.
The decisions were taken after Intelligence Bureau suspected lurking terrorist presence in the city prior to a strike.Earlier, AK Khan met DCPs of North, South, Central and West Zone at the Goshamahal Stadium in the morning.
The Police commissioner appealed to the people not to panic over the ongoing checks and asked them to cooperate with the police. During such time people need to maintain calm, the super cop added.
