Telugu Desam members took to the streets the in-house attitude of deputy speaker Nadendla Manohar by organising a demonstration at Gun Park on Thursday.
Raising slogans against the Deputy Speaker, the members alleged that Nadendla was resorting to frequent adjournments without allowing debate over public problems. They alleged that Manohar was not treating the members properly and not giving them permission to raise genuine issues in the House.
“The Deputy Speaker also blamed the Opposition leaders for all the mess and pandemonium in the House,” the TDP leaders said and urged the Speaker to let the Opposition raise people’s problems in the august forum.
The leaders took out a rally before the demonstration at the Gun Park and suggested that the Assembly sessions be convened in the morning as well as in the evening.
