MGR Mall at Church Street, Chittoor was launched in a lavish manner. Heroine Anu Emmanuel, Jabardasth fame Rashmi Gautam and Bigg Boss 2 fame Deepti attended the event. Even Chittoor MLA DA Satyaprabha, MLC Dora Babu, Mayor Kathari Hemalatha, former MLA CK Babu inaugurated various sections.
People thronged to see the film stars and this resulted in huge commotion resulting in a stampede. This forced the people’s representatives to make a hasty retreat and leave the function abruptly.
Finally police intervened to bring normalcy by controlling the crowd.
