The Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Tuesday expressed regrets over the behaviour of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Harikumar, with the Opposition Leader, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu.
When the Assembly met for the day on Tuesday, the Speaker first took up this issue and termed as unfortunate that the indecent behaviour of the DCP with Mr Naidu.
Earlier the TDP MLAs met the Speaker in his chambers and submitted a memorandum demanding action against DCP for his ‘unruly behaviour’ against their leader.
When the TDP members expressed their protest on the issue in the House, the Speaker said that he would call the DCP during tea break and warn him on the issue.
He assured the House that he would see to it that such incidents do not recur.
