Telangana's budget will be people-centric: KTR

Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao said that the Telangana Government would introduce a people-centric and pro-development development budget for the State.

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of inauguration of exhibition "Colour of Rajasthan" at Kalinga Bhavan in Banjara Hills here on Wednesday, KTR denied the allegations of Bharatiya Janata Party wherein it apprehended that TRS Government plans to pass the budget through an ordinance. He said unlike BJP, which gave away seven mandals of Khammam district to Seemandhra region through an ordinance, the TRS Government does not believe in policy of ordinance. He said the Telangana budget would be passed in Assembly.

KTR said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has rejected the customary budget prepared by the Finance Department and directed the officials to prepare a practical and people-centric budget.

The minister also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not finalising the allocation of All India Service officials to Telangana. He said AIS allocation would help the State in effective planning and implementation of welfare schemes. Replying to a question on completion of 100-days in power, KTR said big achievements could not be expected in just 100 days and the Centre should have supported the TRS Government in bringing development.
