AICC President Sonia Gandhi will address a massive public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad to be held soon.
In an informal chat with media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah informed that Sonia Gandhi has agreed to address a massive meeting in Hyderabad. Similarly, AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will address a meeting either at Warangal or Adilabad. The dates for both the meetings will be decided in a day or two.
Ponnala also informed that the T-Congress leaders would launch a Bus Yatra in all 10 districts of Telangana region in the first week of April. Regarding the candidates, he said that the candidates for both Assembly and Parliament would be shortlisted soon and a list would be sent for approval to the Congress High Command on March 28 or 29th.
Ponnala said that the Congress party treats all non-allies as opposition and would counter them strongly. He also denied reports that he was planning to contest the Lok Sabha elections and said a decision on his candidature either from Lok Sabha or Assembly would be decided by the Congress High Command.
