Massive response to Naidu's Porubata in Chittoor

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday reiterated that he would continue his fight against the State Government for its 'anti-farmer' policies.

Talking to media persons after launching his Rythu Porubata after performing pooja at Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple at Kanipakam, Naidu slammed the government for not responding to farmers’ problems despite their pathetic condition due to heavy debts. He criticized the government for not rescuing farmers by taking adequate relief measures and announcing minimum support price for their produce.

Blaming the government for its failure to supply nine hours of power to farmers as promised in the election manifesto, he said the government has no moral right to propose increase in the power tariff which would put a heavy burden on consumers.
