Fifteen of the sixteen rebel Congress legislators have replied to the Speaker’s show- cause notice for defying the Congress whip in wake of the no confidence motion.
Fifteen Congress MLAs have submitted their replies to Speaker in written form before the deadline, which was December 29, according to sources.
Kapu Ramachandra Reddy of Rayadurgam Assembly constituency was the lone member who did not reply as he contends that he had not received any notice from the Speaker’s office.
The Speaker is believed to be sending a fresh notice through post, e-mail, fax and SMS and would give him time for reply. Earlier, Kapu Ramachandra Reddy stated that he did not receive the Congress whip issued during the no confidence motion.
For this Speaker asked the Congress party whip Kondrumurali Mohan to submit evidence that he has issued whip. The Speaker’s office confirmed that it has received Alagadda MLA Shobhanagi Reddy’s resignation.
