Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi on Tuesday stated that his party would initiate disciplinary action against rebel MLA Shoba Nagi Reddy for violating the whip during the No Confidence Motion.
Talking to media persons after convening a meeting with his party MLAs at his residence, Chiranjeevi said that he would meet Speaker Nadendla Manohar appealing him to initiate action against Shoba Nagi Reddy for voting in favour of Trust Motion in violation of the whip issued by the party.
Chiranjeevi said that the Opposition Leader N Chandrababu Naidu moved the No Confidence Motion against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with an intention to protect his own selfish interests. "The outcome of the motion in the assembly is a slap on the face of opposition parties,” he stated.
Stating that some vested elements tried in vain to lure his MLAs, he thanked the all his MLAs for supporting him in defeating the motion and saving the government.
