Backed by the High Court order on GO 177, the State Government has reiterated that it would strictly implement the 'No work, no pay' rule and would deny September salaries to the employees who joined the 'Sakula Janula Samme'.
Since going against the said GO would be contempt of court, the government says it has no other alternative except implementing the 'No work, no pay' strictly. Non-payment of salaries for the nubmer of days they were on strike would create financial problems for the employees especially during Dushera festival. This economical factor is likely to create a split within the striking employees, especially those getting low salaries.
Earlier, during a similar non-cooperation movement many employees did not attend to their duties for 22 days. However, the staff was paid salaries as a good will from the State Government. But this time it is a different story.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Ramnarayan Reddy told reporters on Tuesday that under 'No Work, No Pay' rule, the staff has so far incurred a loss of Rs 300 crore.
