Babu luring T leaders away from struggle with posts: Nagam

Suspended Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday accused TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to entice his party leaders away from the separate statehood agitation by luring them with posts, as part of his efforts to obstruct the formation of Telangana.

Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Mr Janardhan Reddy advised the Telangana leaders to open their eyes and be aware of the tactics being utilized by Mr Naidu. He also exhorted them to renew their efforts towards formation of the separate state.

Alleging that Mr Naidu is cheating the party’s leaders from Telangana, the suspended TDP leader appealed to them to wriggle out of Mr Naidu’s ‘clutches’.

He also alleged that Mr Naidu has launching a ‘foul’ campaign against him through Telangana Telugu Desam Party Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Revanth Reddy and added that he would not be cowed down by anyone on Telangana.

Responding on Telangana Congress leaders’ meeting with the party’s Central leaders in New Delhi, Mr Janardhan Reddy asked them to return with concrete assurance on the separate statehood demand. “They should stay put in New Delhi till the Centre gives concrete assurance that it would introduce a Bill on separate Telangana state in the Parliament,” Mr Janardhan Reddy said.

He also warned Congress leaders of dire consequences if they return with empty hands on Telangana, saying “The people of the region will not allow them to visit their constituencies and boycott them.”

Mr Janardhan Reddy also advised the Congress leaders to resign from their posts instead of just setting deadlines.
