FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., April 26, 2026 — St. Martinus University (SMU) celebrated its 2026 graduation ceremony with major institutional milestones, including a 92% residency match rate, a newly announced collaboration with Prime Healthcare Services, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its medical curriculum.

The ceremony, attended by approximately 210 guests, was held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and marked a significant moment in the university’s 25-year history of medical education.

Strategic Announcements Position SMU for the Future of Healthcare

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Governors Dr. Haranath Policherla announced a collaborative initiative between SMU and Prime Healthcare Services aimed at strengthening clinical training opportunities within U.S. hospital systems.

“The future of healthcare is being driven by artificial intelligence,” said Dr. Policherla. “St. Martinus University is proactively integrating AI into its curriculum to ensure our graduates are prepared for the next generation of medicine.”

92% Match Rate Highlights Academic Outcomes

University President Dr. Murali Ginjupalli announced that SMU achieved a 92% residency match rate for 2026, reinforcing the institution’s ability to prepare students for successful placement in competitive training programs.

“Our graduates represent the next generation of physicians who will serve globally,” said Dr. Ginjupalli. “With continued campus development and academic innovation, we are building a system that delivers both opportunity and outcomes.”

Among the graduating class was Samhith Chand Ginjupalli, reflecting both institutional and personal milestones during the ceremony.

The event began with the Pledge of Allegiance, led by current clinical rotation students, including Dr. Vijay Krishna Policherla.

Diplomas were conferred beginning at 1:15 PM, followed by the administration of the Hippocratic Oath by Dr. Raghavendra Chowdary Vemulapalli.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Jay Talluri extended congratulations to the graduating class.

Board members in attendance included Niranjan Srungavarapu, Suresh Puttagunta, Krishna Kurra, Prakash Gera, Naveen Ale, and Radhika Kattragadda.

The ceremony was also attended by prominent consultant Dr. Kamendra Devidas Dahat, alumni including Dr. Gopi Mulaka, Dr. Mohit Sharma, and Dr. Naushad Mansoori, and community leaders Prasad Bethamcherla and Jogeshwara Rao Peddiboyina.
