Jagan linked with APPSC scam

Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao on Wednesday demanded an Anti Corruption Bureau probe into recruitments being made under the tenure of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Chairman Y Venkatrami Reddy.

Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature party office, Mr Shankar Rao urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to institute an inquiry into recruitments made under the Chairmanship of Mr Venkatrami Reddy.

He alleged in a press note that “Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy has accepted bribes from candidates and converted it as Rayalaseema Public Service Commission.”

Almost all posts in recruitments were filled with Sri Krishnadevara University, Anantapur, and Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati students, who have passed degree in supplementary examinations, he charged.

He further alleged that though Telangana students had performed well in written examination, they have been neglected in recruitments.

The Cantonment MLA also accused City Police Commissioner AK Khan, who hails from Anantapur in Rayalaseema region, of extending support to the discrimination of Telangana students.

He alleged that Mr Venkatrami Reddy, during his tenure as JNTU Vice-Chancellor had taken bribes of Rs 500 crore and leaked out EAMCET paper to Chaitanya, Narayana and other tutorial colleges. 

Mr Shankar Rao handed out photocopies of memorandum of marks obtained by Telangana candidates and gave details depicting the failure of the government to recruit successful T-students for jobs by neglecting them in interviews.

The Cantonment MLA took an oath to hand himself from the statue of BR Ambedkar if anybody proved that the details provided by him were wrong.

He alleged that about Rs 1,000 crore had changed hands in recruitments and sought a probe into entire recruitments being conducted under the Chairmanship of Mr Venkatrami Reddy.

Mr Shankar Rao also stated that Chief Minister K Rosaiah has not involved in the scam and asked leaders not to make him a scapegoat. He further urged Chief Minister to cancel all recruitments being conducted under the Chairmanship of Y Venkatrami Reddy.
