The Task Force personnel have arrested Tollywood actor Saira Bhanu and Jyoti along with seven others on charges of prostitution on Monday.
According to informed sources, the Task Force sleuths conducted an early morning raid at an apartment in Kundan Bagh area before arresting the nine women.
Saira Bhanu and Jyoti were caught along with their partners during the raid.Bhanu is a leading actress in a few Telugu films. Jyoti has acted in a few supporting roles. One woman found in their company is from Uzbekistan.
Some VIPs, film stars and local politicians are stated to be their patrons.The incident comes within 48 hours of the exposure of a cocaine racket connected to the Telugu film industry in which actor Ravi Teja’s brother was caught with a fake drug.
Well-known Telugu actor Seema was also arrested in connection with a sex scam from Tarnaka locality in 2009.
Bhanu has acted in Aarojay, 100 crores, `Tic, Tic, Tic’ and `Inkosari.’ The Task force has handed over the arrested persons to Punjagutta police.They were also produced before a city court which granted them bail on Monday.
