The ongoing T-20 world cup is throwing many upsets and in between rains is upsetting even the best of the predictions. In the midst of all this, Team India today won a close match against Bangladesh to stay in the hunt for the semifinal match.

India put into bat by Bangladesh, once again had a shaky start. Skipper Rohit Sharma got out quickly for just 2 runs. However KL. Rahul, vice-captain who is at the receiving end for his poor form in the tournament, came out blazing on all guns. He scored a well-made and attacking 50 (32) blasting 4 sixes and is well-supported and guided by Virat Kohli. Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav continued and Surya scored 30(16), before his innings was cut short. Kohli in the meanwhile, became the highest run scorer in T-20 world cups and after making 50 cut loose to remain unbeaten on 64 (50) to help India reach 184/6 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh had a sensational start with Litton Das launching a blistering attack. Powerplay fetched more than 60 runs and with Bangladesh making a match of it and set to raise its game to another level, rain played the spoilsport. At that time Bangladesh was well ahead of India by 17 runs according to D/L rule. However, the prayers of the Indians are answered and the match resumed with Bangladesh's target revised to 151 of 16 overs. But Bangladesh lost its way after a blazing start and Rahul with his superb fielding got Litton Das 60(24) runout. When everything was lost for Bangladesh with Arshadeep Singh and Hardik Pandya taking four wickets for just 9 runs, Narul Hussain and Taskin Ahmed took the match till the last ball and Bangladesh lost the match by just 5 runs.
