Hyderabad, Aug 21:

Hyderabad, the headquarters for Tollywood, is hosting the short film festival scheduled for Sunday.

Cinephiles of Hyderabad, an online community of movie aficionados, in association with Shamiana of Mumbai is organizing the global event at the Prasad Preview Theatre at the posh Banjara Hills in the city.

Several film personalities like Neelakanta, director of Mr.Medhavi, Sada Mee Seva Lo, and Missamma, Ramana Gogula, popular music director of Tolywood who has several hits to his credit like Thammudu, Badri, Jhonny and Yuvaraju and Rahul Nambiar, the man behind the special effects of the Telugu hit Arundhati will participate in the interactive discussion at the short film festival. Sources in the Tollywood informed TN here on Friday that  Nayeem from Pixelloid will deliver a session on 'Special Effects and Animation in Movies' .

The event titled as 'Cut It Short" will have screening of short movies from international film festivals like Cannes and also by the independent filmmakers from across the country.
 
The festival’s main purpose is to promote short films and provide a platform for movie enthusiasts to share their love for cinema, the sources said adding that "Cut It Short", is only an attempt to creating a platform for film enthusiasts and aspiring filmmakers to interact with the established movie makers and noted technicians and also to share their passion with like-minded people.
