Opinion: Fake Cheering In IPL Is Irritating

It gives immense pleasure to watch cricket match live in stadiums. We cheer every run scored by our favorite cricketers. At the same time, the TV viewers have no less joy. Some even opine that, watching cricket matches along with friends on TV is the biggest joy.

But, for the ongoing Ipl season happening in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah), audiences are not allowed owing to Covid-19 restrictions. So, to please TV spectators, the management came up with the idea of fake cheering. Of course, it will not give the same joy without the crowd sound. On the other hand, the fake cheering is also not working.

Cricket fans are irritated with fake and non-sync crowd sounds, as they give same sound for a boundary and for a single. It seems the folks who play sound are as clueless as audience. The internet is flooded with memes and jokes. Here’s how Twitterati react:
