Nokia, the mobile equipment provider on Wednesday launched four new  mobile sets --Nokia 2690, 1800, 1616 and 1280-- for consumers in the state. 

Launching the economy mobile sets Nokia Regional General Manager (South) T S Sridhar said the cellphone will have features such as internet comatibility, music with 3.5 mm audio visual connector, up to 22 days battery standby time, flashlight, dust resistant keypad, anti-scratch cover, multiple phone books and speaking clock in many languages, among others.

 ''Nokia 2690, 1800 and 1616 offer Nokia Life Tools, an SMS-based service that gives consumers access to locally relevant agriculture info and help them learn English,'' he said. 

''All the new mobiles come with a standard warranty and are backed by Nokia's product quality and unparalleled care promise across the length and breadth of the country'', he pointed out. 

''These easy-to-use mobile phones will be available across 200,000 Nokia retail outlets across India, including remote areas like Ramachandrapuram and Kaikaluru'', he said. The company will also launch Rs 2000 mobile sets after the announcement of its quarterly results, he added.
