Governor visits Vijayawada Durga Gudi

Governor E S L Narasimhan on Saturday visited the Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri here.

Narasimhan, accompanied by his wife, offered  prayers at the hill shrine where the temple authorities accorded him a ceremonial reception. The Governor offered silk clothes to the presiding deity.

This is the Governor's first visit to Vijayawada after he assumed the gubernatorial post. He also reviewed the law and order situation in the city with top police brass and district officials at the Governor’s guest house.

The Governor will also address the convocation of NTR Health University at Tummalapalli Kalakshtram and award degrees and medals to the students. 

The police made elaborate security arrangements for the Governor's visit to the city.
