England was crowned the new world champions after they won the Cricket World Cup 2019 final against New Zealand on Sunday. The match went to the Super Over which also ended in a tie but England was declared winners because the number of boundaries hit came into play.

There was delight for Eoin Morgan's men but heartbreak for Kane Williamson's side as the cricket fraternity erupted after having witnessed one of the most thrilling matches ever. The stakes were high as both England and New Zealand had an opportunity to become first-time winners but, in the end it was decided by the number of boundaries hit in a low-scoring thriller.
