Apparently, rain doesn’t want to see India defeating New Zealand in the ongoing Cricket World Cup. League match between India and New Zealand was called off due to rain. Yesterday, when India was in a good position in the first semi final match, rain interrupted it. Unfortunately, there are chances of rain interruption on reserve day as well.

The weather forecast for reserve day of India’s World Cup semi-final clash against New Zealand at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester shows there is roughly a 20 per cent chance of intermittent rain.

The match will resume from where it was left off on Tuesday. New Zealand were 211/5 with just 23 balls left to bat when rain halted play. While fans, waiting for the match to resume, made a splash with memes and vented their ire at the DRS method, what they are most interested in knowing is whether the match will be completed today. So here's the weather forecast for today:

There is some good news from Manchester as the morning has been cloudy but without any sign of rain so far. It is likely to remain dry for the next few hours and the match is likely to resume on time at 3pm (IST).

The weather forecast for the entire Wednesday, however, does not look as promising. There is prediction of clouds and some rain, with chances of showers hovering around 20 per cent at the moment.

"Skies will often be cloudy through Wednesday, with further heavy showers at times. Some brighter interludes are possible between the showers though," the forecast says.

As is known, India will get into finals if the match will be called off on reserve day as well.
