Regulatory authority setup to contain prices

Hyderabad, Aug 12 :

The Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, on Wednesday stated the government would appoint a price regulatory authority to contain sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities in the state.

Talking to media persons here, he said that the regulatory authority would frame rules and suggest measures to control increasing prices of essential commodities in the market.

He asked the officials to prepare modalities for this in a two or three days. He also said the government would extend the limit of essential commodities list based on the report of regulatory authority.
