Task force to curb prices spiral

Hyderabad, Feb 4:  The Government has constituted a Task force to check the rising prices of essential commodities in the state. This was disclosed to newsmen on Thursday by Chief Minister K Rosaiah.After holding a high-level meeting on the rise in prices in the state, the Chief Minister said the Government was taking all steps to control the prices.Hitting out at the Opposition parties, he said `` it is not fair on the part of the Opposition to squarely blame the Government for the soaring prices.

We are doing all that within our limits to hold a check on the prices.’’The CM instructed the Civil Supplies authorities to be ruthless on horders and millers who violate the law.Rosaiah directed the Revenue officials to strengthen the check posts in the state and conduct thorough checks so that illegal transportation of essential commodities cant be plugged.Seeking the people’s  cooperation in controlling the prices, the CM urged the people to pass on the information to the Government if they are in the know of things about hoarders or of illegal transportation of the essentials.They are free to pass on the message to any of these toll-free phone Nos: 18004252977;   18004250082.
