Adbhuta Mahayagam begins in Tirumala

Tirumala, Jan 29: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam on Friday performed ‘108 Kundatmaka Adbhuta Mahayagam’ at Srinivasa Mangapuram, which is aimed at ensuring peace and prosperity in the state.As many as 150 Vedic priests from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are participating in the three-day Mahayagam.Thousands of devotees from across the State who attended the yagam offered prayers to the deities.

The mahayagam is being organised by the TTD after a gap of eight years.TTD Chairman D K Adikesavulu Naidu said that arrangements were being made for the conduct of the three-day Adbhuta Mahayagam on a grand scale at Srinivasa Mangapuram.TTD Executive Officer Krishna Rao and other officers also participated in the yagam.Governor ESL Narasimhan, Madhya Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister K Rosaiah will participate in the ‘Purnahuthi Homam’ ritual to be held on Sunday.
